MARRIAGE A TRAGEDY

Earlier, marriage was a delightful moment and a privilege to everyone in the society. Parents, society members, relatives, religious leaders would come together to make sure their children formally unite as husband and wife. As time flies, we see things starting moving anti clock wise and now a few people admire getting married because those who are already in marriage are mourning every day and night.

Separation among couples is the order of the day, mothers leaving their husband’s homes and children to make sure they find peace outside marriage. There are a number of causes of rampant separation and if they are addressed, we can have hope for the coming generation.

Boys and girls enter marriage before they are prepared enough for what comes about with marriage conditions and terms which cause too much conflict and arguments until the couple find out that they are not compatible for each other. Some couple find it hard to push with the hardship of marriage because they are too young to get committed to each other’s needs and wants.

Some men can barely make ends meet. This becomes so hard for them to provide all of the basic needs to the family yet their partners might have unreailistic expectations like visiting good places for leisure, buying cars, building house and buying fancy clothes for them and children. In case the man fails all the above the woman will try looking for men who are capable of providing hence failed marriage

As a saying goes that a child will never grow before their parent, these men and women however, married, they will always needs mental, economic, financial  support and a word of encouragement through guidance and counseling whenever their children fail to reach an agreement, but you find that relatives of both parties are just discouraging, condemn and make marriages fail without considering the well-being of their grandchildren after the parent’s filed marriage.

Men tend to base their marriage on the fruit of the womb forgetting that a woman’s worth is not determine by then infertility. Therefore if a woman fails to produce children they won’t look at other abilities of that woman they will instead have to end the marriage and look for other women who can bear children yet sometimes, the bareness does come from the woman’s side.

We are always advised to cut our coat according to our clothes. In many ways people marry for beauty, money outlook, popularity and other material things forgetting about their spouse’s religion which later become a problem due to differences in religious norms, practices and customs where both end up loosing the beauty of marriage.

As we are moving in the world full of sickness and illness of both curable and incurable diseases where other go under a knife and make it hard to continue enjoying themselves intimately which creates loss of interest in the partner and later get more attached to other people outside marriage who can ably satisfy their sexual desires.

As a generation we can try to bridge all the gaps to a successful marriage of our children so that they can delightfully enjoy and take pride in marriage.
