About Us

Muto online is an online library that initiated its works on 31st August, 2023. It was started up by Mr. Mugere Tonny who got an idea from the challenges he faced during his studies where literature was very hard to access in normal libraries. Tonny is a graduate and faced a lot of challenges when he was conducting his research at the university where information was hard to get and little available was hard and expensive to access.

However, the launch of Muto Online was also supported by the adoption of a new, learner-centered curriculum in Uganda, which mandates that students conduct research and that their study necessitates the availability of online materials via online libraries.
Muto Online is a non-governmental organization whose main goals are to give free literature to researchers and students, make learning tools and materials available to students and school administrators, among other interested parties, and enable everyone to freely access digital education.
